#Airlines #CANCEL more than 1,500 US #FLIGHTS Friday

As of 9:30 p.m. ET #Friday, flight tracking site Flight Aware showed more than 1,500 flights in the #United_States had been canceled. Once again..

On #Thursday, airlines canceled 1,248 flights nationwide, one of the worst days for flight cancellations of the past six weeks.

#Southwest_Airlines canceled 370 flights, or 9% of its Thursday schedule. Southwest delayed another 1,800 flights, 46% of its Thursday schedule.

#Davidson High School principal David Rule said there had been significant changes since students in years 7 to 10 were banned from using mobile phones at #school.

“#Classrooms have effectively become #phone_free and this has allowed staff to #focus on #educating students,” he said in a school newsletter. “Finally, in eight weeks of the policy, there has been a 90 #per_cent #reduction in #behavioural issues related to phones...”

“The pouch also allowed our staff to use them when necessary as an #explicit_teaching #tool for a particular lesson,” he said.
