#BOYCOTT_COMCAST | #RANT on the 17 Day Process of #Cancelling_Comcast | YOUTUBE COMMENTS: I am totally with you man and feel your #pain..... It is #sickening how this stuff continues to happen. They purposely mess with your time and "Can't find" previous conversations. And they are so layered to create unnecessary complications.
I really hope more people stand tall and make a stink about this stuff. I had a similar experience with Sprint. I cannot stand the #ignorance and lack of actually listening to you as a customer. In my opinion they are #shooting themselves in the #foot, if they create such a stink to cancel you are going to never forget it and they lose a customer for life. Or if they accept your cancel and make it simple you would be more apt to consider them in the future having confidence that if you want to cancel again it won't be hard to do. I have been victim of this stuff many times and the whole start the process over by transferring you to another "division" game they all play. They are going to piss off too many people and implode themselves at some point.
* Fam! I’m currently on Comcast and told my fam all the money we could save be buying our router instead of renting their crappy one (which comes with a built in anti piracy firewall). I try to return it to the Comcast guy I see out the window, he tells me I have to return it in store. He kept repeating at least 10x that when people set up their own modems the internet starts to act strange and then there’s nothing the company can do to save you. Everything is golden despite his spooky message until 5 days later when we returned aforementioned crappy modem to the Xfinity store. Within an hour, our home internet was clearly being throttled by Comcast. Life with this company is torture and I dream of a day when they won’t have such unhealthy monopolies on neighborhoods like mine. All of this happened in the month of February 2021
* This is exactly, the type of experience that I’ve had with Comcast. Now, I still have Comcast, but we wanted to get rid of cable and phone about two years ago, and just keep the Internet. We were told exactly as you, that if you go with just Internet only you’ll pay more money. It is absolutely ridiculous. Unfortunately, in our area the Xfinity and the speeds that we get are the only game in town. We don’t have FiOS available where I live, so as you can see, I am a channel as well and do a lot of uploads, and my better half works from home as well, so we need good Internet speeds. I will say since we got XFi service, the Internet has been phenomenal. We pay for it as well, and the bill is always going up, even though I had renegotiated a new billing plan.
