Anti-monarchists staged #peaceful_protests outside the Houses of #Parliament on Tuesday, after police #threatened a #lawyer with arrest if he held up a sign reading '#NOT_MY_KING.’

Protesters, some carrying blank signs and some carrying those with anti-monarchy slogans, called for #freedom of speech and the right to protest. As Guardian reporter Damian Gayle spoke to them, a police officer came to ask questions about the protest.
