In order to be a successful scientist, the first thing you need is a topic and an audience.

If you write about physics that could be used in advanced weapons, your audience is the Military Industrial Complex.

If medicine, it's Big Pharma.

If you write about Economics, your audience is the politicians.

In case this wasn't clear already, you need to tell your audience what they want to hear, and what they want to hear is that government should give them more money and more power.

Economics is a bit of an oddity since your audience is the politicians themselves.

So what you need to say to them is that having the state print money and give it to the politicians & their constituents is a technocratic BREAKTHROUGH and definitely not debasement and grift.

The problem with "science" is what makes a scientist successful has nothing to do with useful discoveries, but rather how effectively they can lobby the government for funding.

But to lobby effectively, you need a group. Much of scientist writing is actually group signaling.

* Run over children crossing the road

* Swerve into oncoming traffic

* Ignore road signs warning it to slow down for sharp bends, causing it to * cross over the yellow line

* Drive on the wrong side of the road

* Commit thousands of driving errors

* Tesla Full Self-Driving Will Run Down a Child in a School Crosswalk

* The Dawn Project publicly reported in August that our test engineers had shown that Full Self-Driving would run over a child in a crosswalk. Recently

* The Dawn Project tested Full Self-Driving (10.69.2.2) and found that it will still run down a child in a school crosswalk.

Whoever coded it should never code a single line of code again imho.
