Leslie Wexner, billionaire founder of Victoria's Secret-owner L Brands, faced a tense moment during his deposition before the House Oversight Committee regarding his ties to Jeffrey Epstein when his attorney, Michael Levy, was caught on a hot mic delivering blunt advice.
"I will fucking kill you if you answer another question with more than five words, OK?" Levy whispered to Wexner in an exchange captured in video footage released by the committee on Thursday (February 19).
Wexner, 88, testified on Wednesday, acknowledging one visit to late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's island while denying any knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities. He stated that he severed ties with Epstein nearly two decades ago.
Wexner, who was Epstein's primary client for around 20 years, has not been accused of any criminal wrongdoing.
The deposition has drawn significant attention given Epstein's association with prominent figures before his death in 2019.
