@JustBlameWayne I had a similar experience. I grew up in a city of 250k people. We were poor and lived in a mixed neighborhood. I didn't know until later that in that whole city there were maybe 4/5 total blocks that were actually mixed. It was in the late 60s/early 70s and the city was very segregated. The family that lived directly across from us was black and had 3 boys close in age to my brothers and me our mothers trading babysitting. We thought nothing of it.
