#Uganda's president #passes #Anti_LGBTQ2 #Law, (#WITHOUT_ENFORCEMENT) prompting continental protests | Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni signed the country’s anti-gay law this week, which includes the death penalty for what is described as “aggravated homosexuality.”
Uganda MP Asuman Basalirwa claimed that parliament “had no choice but to” make the bill law.
The news triggered protests all across Africa in support of the LGBTQ2 communities of Uganda. Though same-sex relations were already illegal in Uganda, and 30 other African countries, Museveni’s approval has brought to life one of the world’s harshest anti-LGBTQ2 laws.
